A bulk tonnage tungsten target has been partially tested in the north of EPM 14185 at a prospect called Jimbilly, located north of the Never Can Tell workings. A small hill was quarried in the 1960s and quartz veined granite with visible wolframite was exposed on one side of the hill. Other bulk tonnage tungsten targets are possibly, clusters of smaller veins around known high- grade veins. The tungsten workings are described as narrow veins generally in granite. Molybdenite was recorded in some of the larger workings. The likelihood for high-grade tungsten veins, with molybdenum credits, extending below old workings is considered good but these deposits are characteristically small in tonnes.
Tin Mineralisation is widespread in both the sediments and in the O'Brien's Creek Super suite granites. A cluster of mines in the North-East of EPM 14185 are granite hosted - the Upper Nettle Creek group of workings. Greisen alteration around these deposits offers encouragement to search for large tonnage targets. |
